Realize this may seem in the wrong forum, but wanted those who were interested in this food item to see.

While at Kroger yesterday, I saw these meatballs and was surprised as I didn't know they were available in stores. I have never tried them, but for anyone who is interested in these, Kroger has them in our area, Michigan and the price is much much much less than on the Q. They had both the beef and the turkey ones.

Have a great Saturday All

Thank you. I haven't tried them, but am somewhat interested...sometimes I just don't want to make my own meatballs. I'm assuming they are frozen at Kroger, like at QVC? I saw some meatballs in the fresh meat section at Kroger's this week but they were not Mother Mancini's brand.

On another note, around Christmas time I saw My Grandma's Coffe Cake at Kroger, too.

Thanks again.

FYI, at Costco, I was given a small sample of Mama Mancini meatballs and later bought a package of them (beef).  Husband and I thought they were quite good served over pasta,  when mixed with some additional tomato sauce and a few seasonings.  The meatballs themselves seemed to need the additional home-made sauce to be "saucy enough".

Costco's package was not sold frozen, which differs from QVC's frozen-delivered,however.  Don't know if that made a difference.  Had no problem with the taste of the Costco beef version.

Check the reviews on QVC.  Seems many of the negative ones are from people who tried the poultry-based version.  I wouldn't pay QVC's prices for any type of food that can be obtained in a local grocery store.

The meatballs were not frozen, but with the fresh meats. We have been buying  the Grandma Coffee cakes locally for a few years now.

Happened to be at a Fresh Market store yesterday ( think Trader Joe's on steroids with huge meat dept, seafood small dept, large floral dept, wines, and takeout superb for lunch paninis and dinner  entrees ).

Saw a little sign above the meatballs--Mama Mancini's.  They were larger than the Publix ones which are very good.  Good to know the beef MM brand seems to be good too from the posts.  Definitely will add my marinara to them when I get them.

Thanks for the info !!!!
