Madame Tussauds don't play, and she's also kinda petty, because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wax figures are already 86'd from the Royal Family display in London!!!

Just hours after the royal couple shocked the world -- and ticked off all the other royals -- by announcing they were stepping down from their senior duties ... the famed wax museum yanked Harry and Meghan. Their figures previously stood alongside Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

So begins the exile.  Wallis and Edward were offered the Governorship to the Bahamas, they wanted something in Canada to be close to USA.  Did not happen so off they went to the Bahamas he ruled the island and she reigned over the Red Cross there.

OP you didnt mention they are still on display, just moved to a different place from the royals.

Seems like Madame Tussaud’s would wait until all the details were worked out before removing Harry and Meghan.

They weren't removed, they were moved. They got stepped away from the royal family. I'm happy Toussauds took them at their word---literally.👍
