Praying for a swift resolution to this heartbreaking ordeal that your husband and you are going through. Whether a complete removal of the tumor or amputation you will still have each other for years to come. Stay in faith and believe that your prayers will be answered.

Sadly there's a lot of reality to face in this situation knowing this is a sarcoma tumor that has remained unchanged by the standard route of chemo and radiation treatments.
I feel sure the surgeon will present facts and options about this formidable sounding tumor, to help your husband see the decision he needs to make, more clearly.
Continued prayers for both of you for strength and peace, in this very stressful situation.

I am so sad to hear this! I will keep praying for healing for him and for the strength to carry you both and your loved ones through this hard time.
I wish I had words of comfort that were adequate, but please remember that many are praying!

UPDATE:
Today was a very hard day for us. We met with the orthopedic oncologist today..He discussed the finding on the CT SCANS. Yes the tumor has not shrunk in fact it has grown larger. We were also told that the Scan on his chest showed 5 nodules. Three of the nodules were not present before in September 2021 when this first began. This means that the cancer has spread to his lung. After lengthy discussion it was determined that my husband would need to have his leg amputated above the knee and in 5 weeks he will have another scan to see if nodules have grown bigger in his lung or if any others have developed. At that time JOhn will meet with another surgeon and remove the nodules. Our lives are changing but with prayer we will get through it. Thank you everyone

@Tina From Georgia Sending thoughts and prayers your way. Have you looked into immunotherapy? My dear neighbor got skin cancer in his late 80s that metastasized to his lungs and brain. He did immunotherapy and is still kicking at 95 although dementia has set in.
