@catlover @I am sad for you and I hope that you have children or a dh to help you through.I understand how hard it must be when someone passes with no warning or time to say goodbye.I will pray that you find a way to get through your grief and can find solace in the memories of happier times.I wish I could help you in some way.I will be here to listen anytime you have a need.

               (((@catlover))),  My heart goes out to you.    Both of my parents passed away very young, and yet even now I feel the tug at my soul when a memory, a song, a sight, a sound, reaches in and touches me to the core.   I wish I could give you a real hug, and that I could try to take away some of your sadness.   

               I hope it helps to know you carry forward your beloved father's light...  his spirit...  his gifts.    You hold the treasure of his life stories, and I know your good heart, your compassionate and generous nature, and your kind essence will sustain and support you.   There's a quote by the author Anne Lamott,  "I do not understand the mystery of grace -- only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us.”    May this grace meet you, embrace you, comfort you, and give you strength.   May your dear father rest in gentle peace.❤️

@catlover  I’m sorry for your loss! 

I lost my father and then my mother six months later. 

I remember my husband driving me home with my Grandmother’s  rocking chair from Mama’s and it just hit me that I felt like an orphan, I told my husband that and started crying. 

Things set me off in tears for months and then the husband dying & dogs and the tears come. 

I just shed a few tears for you because I know how hard it is and what you are going through.

@catlover  Hugs to you. I remember when my dad died; I took him off life support. It was five days from entering the hospital till his death. No clues until that moment. I was stoic and strong but when alone....like a child, as you said. I still do. 

Know you are not alone. Know that he will always be in your heart. Know that the wonderful memories you have shared can never be taken away by anyone and so, he will always live on. It will take time. Morn as you see fit; there is no time-table for grief. Again, hugs to you.

@catlover  I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad.  I was 54 yrs old when my dad died and I took it hard, and cried for a long time.  I will always miss him.   I'm sending via the internet a big, strong hug for you.  You are in my prayers friend, take care.
