I've carried a child within my body.  Slept with them on my chest.  I've kissed little toes and wiped away tears.  I've been vomited on and peed on, and spent sleepless nights cradling my crying child, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My body isn't magazine perfect, but when I look in the mirror,  I see a mom, and there is no greater honor, love, or blessing.

Nice sentiments, @Lindsays Grandma. Since you don't credit anyone, should we presume you're the author?

@x Hedge ...I wish I could credit this to someone, a friend sent it to me as is.

Oh well, perhaps she's the author.

@Lindsays Grandma   I would like to add I've spent many a late night worrying about my son(s) while they were out "on the town" driving my car when they were 16, (and got the call one night that "some drunk totalled my car in an accident and you need to come get me" and the call one holiday that "some 16 year old driving his dad's company car just totalled my pickup") and earned every grey hair on my head....

Luckily, neither was his fault and I am so thankful he wasn't injured.

......You look like I need a drink.....

@Lindsays Grandma   I'm sure you are a beautiful loving mom that displays all the attributes of your post.  And I'm sure that many share these traits.  My heart breaks for those who have not experienced a nurturing loving Mom, just as it does for the animals who mourn the loss of their precious babies taken from them shortly after they come into this world.  Motherhood is a universal archetype that is shared by all sentient beings.

Thank you for this sensitive and loving post.Heart

@x Hedge...Did you see my post saying that a friend sent me the article as is, no mention of of an author?
