@JudyL I am a native New Yorker living on the west coast but I can remember the days of subways, and trains. At one point I was living in Levittown, Long Island and worked for an advertising company on Madison Avenue. Drove to the Long Island Railway Train Station, took the train into the city then took the subway to my final destination. In today's world I don't think I would feel comfortable using the subway.
And no, I didn't think you would use #4. ![]()

@occasionalrain I think that pig was turned into a couple of tasty meals.
Every January we have the PA State Farm show. The 4-h kids all participate. The animals are auctioned off to the highest bidders which is usually a butcher or grocery store with a custom meat cutter.
He was probably on his way to the meat market when he fell from a truck. This is speculation, of course, but the best explanation I can come up with that makes sense.

I am familiar with Levittown; the LIRR; and the subway.

This is a true one i got from an employee quite a few years back. I have to wait until payday to come in because I don't have money for bus fare.
A friend of mine called in to work saying she did not feel very well and the boss asked her if the Rolling Stones were in town? She had been in the job for a long time and there was not a problem calling in but the Stones were in town putting on a surprise concert and that is exactly where she was going.

I worked with a lady who called in because she lost power and couldn't get our of her garage. She honestly didn't know there was a release on the inside of the garage door to open it. SMH.
