We are having the weirdest weather. It was such a hot, humid summer. Then all of a sudden it turned very cool (down to 46 at night and a high of 63 yesterday) with heavy, cold bone-chilling rain at times. This is early for it to be this cool. I remember that my dad's funeral was a year ago this week, and it was so hot and sticky.
Our grass never got yellow this year, although it was a greenish-yellow for awhile. Now the grass is lush and green with mushrooms growing in it! We knew the corn crop was bad, although I've had some very good corn from Wal-Mart. Now there is potato blight in the area! We are a big potato-growing area, so I guess the price of potatoes will go up too.
What's going on in your part of the country? I hear there is alot of draught, but it is hard to relate to.
