Went to one years back. Actually did pick up some useful bits of planning advice, but when the gentleman conducting the session wanted us to make appointments to see him, I opted out. When he later sent me materials, I called and told him he really wanted to talk with people managing far more money than I have.

Lots of what he talked about applied to portfolios north of several million dollars and his fees for management reflected that. Too rich for my blood (or bank account).

Not a terrible waste of time if you like looking at the other side of the fence a la "Lives of the Rich and Famous" although there was no one famous in the group I saw.
