They have been to the lottery headquarters, and their ticket was verified.

Good for the winners but their lawyer advised them wrong. Who goes on national tv before going to the lottery? It seems the lawyer wants his 5 minutes of fame. The woman said she will be back at work Monday. Good for her for wanting her life to stay the same, but their life is no longer the same. Now that everyone knows them they will be hounded by the media and wackos looking for free cash. They should get a new lawyer who knows what hes doing.
(And again this is another reason of many that I wouldnt want to win all that money. I dont want people hounding me! Id rather remain middle class and keep my peaceful happy life and privacy with my family!).

They can go to their work and collect their items, and get congratulations, Some will be jealous etc. Howeve imo. people do need their jobs, with the high unemployment rates.

Last night I watched a new show on HGTV big winners of the lottery having David Bromstad help them find a home.
It was so inspiring that someone wins 9M and shares it.
I didnt see see who won the big one but I did buy a FL Lotto ticket today. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't need zillions one million will do for who I'd like to help (family).

I did work for a Company and a woman won a substantial amount of money via the lottery. Her co workers were very unkind and basically drove her to quit. Sometimes, be careful what you wish for?

I don't think the magnitude of this has really sunk in for them and they are just basking in their excitement. This is totally different from winning a few million. They seem like very nice people and I feel sorry for them as they don't realize how out of control their lives are going to become for many years.
They think they are going to back to work. Well, their bosses may not want them there if all the media shows up at their workplace. They also say they do not want to move, but unfortunately, they may not have the choice in order to get some peace.
And as for their attorney....I can't write here my thoughts on him.

I don't think these people are stupid. No one is that stupid. I agree with the other poster. What better way to ensure your safety. Everyone knows who you are. Everywhere you go there are going to be lots of eyes on you, at all times. You can bet they have security and that ticket is in a safe place nowhere near them. They aren't telling everything. That's my take on it anyway.
Personally I wouldn't do it that way, but I don't think they're ignorant.
