I can,t go into all the details, it would be too long. I left my wallet on the outside of the trunk of my car and drove off, didn,t realize it for two hours later. The back has a big bar and this kept the wallet from flying off. I had everything in it including checkbook and cash. No credit cards, but check book worse, they have routing number and account. I retraced my steps in the car to the gym, but nothing in the street. I was going to go in the gym and ask if someone by a long shot turned it in, but didn,t. I called the bank to report checks out , but didn,t know numbers. I decided to go to bank and close account. On the way there, a voice in my head said, call the gym, so I did and YES THEY HAD THE WALLET. EVERYTHING IN TACT INCLUDING MONEY. THE DESK CLERK that it was given too had gone home. I wanted to know the person that found it and turned it in to thank and give a reward. I wonder why the person at the desk didn,t call me. I am a member, so my phone number is handy. I was frantic as you can imagine. It would have been a hassle to close account with direct deposit of SS and my medical insurance, plus New license. I felt God told me to call the gym as I was standing before the bank officer. The rest CLERK will be back Friday, so I will go in and ask her. A disaster turned into happiness. There are still good honest people in this world. Lifelock was a bust when I called them first so I hung up on them.

I don't know why she didn't call you but many years ago I lost a very substantial gold bracelet that had a lot of sentimental meaning to me. I had been to about 8 offices that day and didn't realize it was gone until I was removing my jewelry at home. I remember calling my husband and crying and he said, it's okay. Well, about a couple of months later I was at one of the offices and we were talking jewelry and I mentioned my lost bracelet and described it. I left the office and as I was walking out a new girl asked, I found your bracelet and I gave it to the admin clerk (person I was talking to earlier about my bracelet), I went back and asked and she said, oh this one, I couldn't believe it. I gave the girl who found it $30 and the girl that had it, asked and me and I said, you weren't even going to give it to me and walked off. The nerve..

I'm glad you found your wallet...

It was just the right thing to do... I think most people are good. You only hear about the bad ones. Several times I have found wallets, debit cards and my first thought was how worried that the owner would be when they realized that they had lost whatever. Never in my right mind would I have thought about doing something like keeping it. Most people are this way. Most people are good.

Yes, I have returned things I found also, and I believe in good karma. I will speak to the young lady tomorrow when she is back at the gym. In all fairness, I was on the phone with the bank and Lifelock, so maybe she tried and the line was busy, I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

I also lost a gold bezentine bracelet from the Q a few years ago at Pets Smart, the clasp was loose. I DIDN,t discover it until the next morning. I looked all over the house and again my thoughts were call the store. In this case they had no ID. They had the bracelet. A customer found it in the cat food section and gave it to the checker who gave it to the Manager. Again I had no one to thank, so I wrote a letter to their corporate office praising the employees of the store.

I am very happy today, and realize I need to focus harder and pay attention to my steps. I still am going to try to find the person that turned it in to thank them personally.
