Loss of Life in the Bahamas

[ Edited ]

Lachino McIntosh drowned as his family tried to relocate from their home in Abaco.

His sister is also missing.

Kind of puts trivial complaining in a new perspective doesn't it.

It is indeed sad.

I wonder how far in advance of the storm they were trying to move.

Trivial complaining...puts a new perspective on what matters.  What matters too are the victims in Midland and Odessa , Texas.  I just read the profiles on some of the deceased; so tragic.

I'm sorry about this.  Hopefully there isn't more loss of life,

I wonder how you escape the storm when you live on a small island like that.

Bahamas Press

A growing wall of missing persons is being published by BP as families in Abaco become frantic on the location of their loved ones. Communities in Abaco are under water and many are missing and feared dead.

Re: Loss of Life in the Bahamas

Trivial complaining indeed. I was talking to a friend who lives far inland and has no chance of feeling anything from the storm. She was watching watching watching.

If you are in the path of the storm you do the best you can to prepare. The storm will pass and hopefully there will be no loss of life.

This from someone who was made homeless once by a storm.

May all victims of tragedies Rest In Peace.  It does indeed put things into perspective.

Yet thawed food and poor sizing seem to send people into a rage.  Prayers for all in this monsters path.

Heard it on the news but - question - in the middle of a vicious storm in another country....how did the press in the USA get a picture of the boy so fast?  They are up to their arm-pits in water.
