Does this name sound familiar to the LA/California posters?
Mr. Irwin has a 50-year broadcasting history out in the Los Angeles area, rich with celebrity interviews & news programming.
The Dallas Cowboys Training Camp is at Oxnard & my radio station, The Ticket, has all their radio broadcasters out in California.
Fast forward to last night.
Several of The Ticket guys ordered an Uber car...and the driver was Mr. Lew Irwin! He's retired from broadcasting, but driving for 'something to do'. Interesting stories. They're going to get him on the air again for just a short interview. Funny how small the world is.

I don't recall the name, is it sad that what's is doing now is driving an uber?

I think it's looking at the world 1/2 Full. He's in his 80's, so meeting new people everyday keeps him young. Plus, he met current broadcasters that will get him back in the air, here in Dallas...if only for 5 minutes. I can't wait to hear his story!
