@Othereeeen

Please don't lump her together with religious zealots.  I grant you that some individuals might display/express themselves quite openly for display, but her actions were far from religious reasons.  Greed, selfishness, craziness come to my mind, but not legitimate faith/religion.  What's terrifying is that people are sometimes taught this stuff.

"48 Hours" tonight Sat 5-13... 10PM(ET)....ANOTHER story about this thing and it's mate....

I think it's ABC ....it appears to be a new show for 2023 proably cause the verdict on her was pronounced yesterday...

For those who just can't get enough of cultish religious fervor and it's consequences on the people in society who are NOT interested in that nonsense.....

@MoJoV

Ole Chad was too busy out sniffing around for....well, you know, to think about his kids.

Besides....at that point, his wife was still living and and able to care for them while he was off ...well, you know.

Religion and all that.....but I heard tell at least he was pious when he was doin' it!!!!

Re: Lori Vallow Daybell Found Guilty

I agree with @Twins Mom. Lori & Chad do not represent those with deep religious beliefs.

They're just plain nuts.

I think their relationship intensified from playing to the vanity of one another: to her, he was a god, to him, she was a goddess.

So much cooler to think of yourselves in that way, instead of being ordinary schmucks!

One of the things that surprised me on last night's Dateline, was the fact that Lori is still 100% in Chad's corner, even after spending time (10 months) in mental health treatment....and that she believes that her kids "understand" and love her.

That's not religious fervor, it's insanity.

Another kook in Lori's family is her niece, Melani, & I'd be worried if I were her new husband.

Muddling through...

Re: Lori Vallow Daybell Found Guilty

I believe that the zombie thing and religious beliefs was just an excuse to try to explain away the horrendous murders in order to make themselves look crazy so a jury would be sympathetic. Thankfully this didn't happen for Lori.

They are sociopaths. Pure and simple.

@JoyFilled Warrior

NO problem!! I just realized I told a friend it was on tonight and referred to the show as 20/20...called and corrected my error....

Between Dateline, 20/20 and 48 Hours, there's enough criminality for everyone these days!!!

Today its this Vallow nut and her crackpot husband Chad.....by fall it'll be non-stop Idaho college student murders....then on to some other horrendous thing people do to each other....

So much crime....so little life left to try to understand it all!!!!

@sabatiniI wonder if Melani got custody of her children? I believe it was Alex that took a shot at her husband. He had to go hide out after a gun was fired at him in his driveway. And Alex was with her the night she went over to the place where husband was hiding with the children and she went there and tried to get her kids back that night. The cops arrested her. I haven't heard anything else since about them. But yeah, she could be an aspiring Lori Jr. Dangerous.
