There is nothing I don't like about the Fall. Ever since I was a young girl, it has been my favorite season.

I love the month of September's weather, but that's about it.  What follows -- Winter --is not my cup of tea.  I miss digging in my garden rather than shoveling snow.  Will wait patiently until February when the sun is higher in the sky, then Spring -- ahhhhhh!

Today there was just a hint of crispness in the air. I wore a jacket to mass but the hardier souls just wore there usual clothes.

Here at camp we are much closer to nature, all day today we watched the squirrels and chipmonks scurrying about gathering up acorns, despite the rain. Haven't seen any bunnies - I guess they try to stay dry. Neighboring farmer's horse got loose and was wandering about the campground grazing on people's flowers. Geez people, he had a harness on just take the reins and lead him home. I was the big hero because all the great outdoorsy campers were afraid of a perfectly tame animal. His owner gave me a  delicious apple pie for bringing him back then rode me home. He was a beautiful big stallion. As we were walking he kept nudging me with his nose in the middle of my back - I think I walked too slow for him, or he wanted another apple. I had originally caught him by giving him an apple.
