We faced exactly the same decision in our family. My FIL was diagnosed with a terminal illness in April. We had a cross country trip already paid for in May. We cancelled. He died in June. It was the right decision. My BIL had a paid for vacation during that time as well. He went. Let your conscience inform your decision. Bless you and your family through this difficult time.
