They are starting to get feisty, so I'm not sure how much longer I will be getting close photos.

Oh, my lands!

The whole gang -- plus his majesty, Buckley -- is there!

I have complete faith that you know when to get somewhat close and when to keep your distance, MamaWick.   Maybe during this rutting season, it might be best to keep a great distance from the beautiful crew.  I truly don't know (but I am a cautious type).

Thank you!

Edited to correct Buckley's name.

@MamaWick   Buckley, you handsome devil you!  This group looks beautiful and well fed to my eyes.

I hope you and your entire family stay safe.

@MamaWick Yes, please be VERY careful.  I was online recently and came upon a site listing the Top 5 most dangerous (wildlife) animals in the US.  Deer were one of the 5.

And, yesterday,  I read about a woman gored and trampled by a deer a neighbor had been feeding and befriending, violating city rules. She managed to not have life threatening injuries, but could have easily been killed.

Tis' the season for increased problems, but even when it's not, these are fight, or flight animals that can suddenly startle and run right over top of you in a heartbeat.

I had a scary event at my local park,  when I encountered a large herd, with an 8 point buck standing guard.  I thought they were about to spook, or the buck attack.  I'm pretty sure it was a response to my 90 lb dog.  Although he was quiet, they sensed a threat.  We calmly turned back, giving them their space.  Continuing to approach would have been HIGH risk.

So pretty. Thank you for the lovely pictures!

They are beautiful, @MamaWick. Please be careful taking these pictures. As much as we all enjoy them, we sure don't want  or papa to get hurt.

Buckley is so handsome.  His masculine facial features and broad neck. Those gorgeous antlers!  What a beautiful deer!

Stay safe Buckley!
