Be safe! Have a plan in place. Trying to decide where to seek shelter in the last minute does not work. A panicked mind cannot process efficiently.

There was some wild weather overnight in Illinois. It kept me up but somehow my husband slept thru it.

Yes!  Nearby states too.  Iowa, Missouri and Indiana.  I only saw part of the forecast as I have two little grands today and have been busy getting supplies to the basement in case of the worst. Diapers, wipes, blankets, batteries,  lights, etc.  The pack and play......

@4kitties I apologize but I'm from the west coast. What is a Torcon? I am assuming part Tornado and part something else?

@4kitties In parts of your area the Torcon has been raised to 9. A similar area is in the south and includes parts of Mississippi. Everyone please stay alert.
