I see the house across the street...then a small coastal hill....with the sun setting..if I stood on my roof I'd see the ocean....but then I'd probably fall to my death.

The pool and lawn next to it. There are two brown bunnies playing on the lawn and a family of quail at one of the many water dishes we have out for the wildllife. from there I look out over the city to the ocean and the islands beyond.

a quiet empty pool with blue lights, dunes that have sea grass and bushes that are swaying because of the nice sea breeze tonight, and a beautiful atlantic ocean that has the moon shining on it and an empty beach!

I see the Bay with our boat and neighbors boats tied up at the docks. The moon glistening on the water with an occasional boat passing by.

Across the lagoon I see men still working with lights on a house and dock that was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. It is so strange to see beauty and destruction at the same time. We still have a long way to go to recover from such destruction. I just look around in astonishment. I feel so bad for all the people who are still not back in their homes.

Since I'm up spending the Summer at our newly re-built cottage I'm looking out at our beautiful Lake Charlevoix. I see our 1962 classic wooden Chris Craft boat on the hoist at the end of our dock. The sunrise is gorgeous over the lake. This week we're getting our landscaping put in and our driveway poured so its been pretty eventful! I always am pinching myself!

Beautiful cedar and fir trees. We are on a steep hillside, so looking out I can see the tops of some of the trees, and a little piece of lake water. On the deck: 3 containers of tomato plants, filled with green tomatoes and little yellow flowers.
