Toby MacFarlane was sentenced yesterday to 6 months in prison in Operation Varsity Blues.
He pleaded guilty to having athletic credentials for his son (basketball) and daughter (soccer) falsified to enter USC for a total of $500,000. His sentencing judge was different from that of previously sentenced parents.
He also was fined $150,000 and must perform 200 hours of community service.
Very similar circumstances to those of Lori and Mossimo.....6 months might not look too bad in retrospect.

I've also read (possibly from unreliable sources) that Lori had wanted to plead guilty several times and informed her attorneys, but was persuaded by Mossimo to stick it out with him and go to trial.
If true, I suspect that when this is all over legally, the marriage may be also!
