@Mominohio - So sad. I DO remember it in its glory days! I made many trips there with bus trips (so much fun) and to see one of my best friends who lives in Columbus. We started going when everything was in Dresden - visted the shops and ate at Popeye's and the restaurant up the big hill (can't remember the name, but it's Dave Longaberger's former home).
We were there right after it opened, and always made reservations for tea when the tea room opened. DH used to tease me - He called it Disneyworld for my friends and me! We would get so excited. I remember the 3D exhibit in one of the manufacturing buildings. Dave did have the vision to turn it into a family park. It's too bad he died before he could do that. The last time I was there was probably 2005. I'm glad I didn't see it go downhill.
Shortly after the Big Basket opened we got to tour that. Tami was there, and our consultant was trying her best to get her to say hello, but she didn't. I'd heard many stories about the girls for years, and I always thought she could have taken the time to just say she hoped we were enjoying our weekend, or something like that. I also heard Rachel wanted no part of the business. I heard they had to force her to give her consent for her "jewelry" line!

I never heard of this brand either.

@beach-mom OH THAT HILL!! I also had dinner at Dave's old house during a bus trip in the mid-late 90's. At the time, being busy chatting with other women on the bus, I didn't really pay much attention. MANY years later, my husband, daughter, and I took a weekend trip - I think it might have been for Heritage Days. Anyway, we wanted to go up there to see the house up close and I was panic stricken going up and down that hill!!! Unnatural sounds that I'd never uttered at anytime before that just kept coming out of me!! Sitting on the passenger side, I kept feeling for the brake and nothing was happening!! LOL My daughter still laughs at my reaction that day.
