Just like with women, it depends on the hair. Full, healthy hair on a man looks great longer.  A well shaped head and good features can rock a shaved head. 

 

I am not a fan of the crew cut or military style short hair or the horrific comb-over.

I have two adult sons, one with a shaved head (he has a bald spot and is sensitive) and the older one (mid forties) has a man bun.  Older son looks like he's trying too hard and younger son looks fine (nice head shape and no tats).

The last time I saw my ex he had long. shoulder length  wavy grey hair hanging.  He is nearly 67. It showed me what a depressed alcoholic  he has become.  He is married for the fourth time. Not becoming.  I get a kick out of a few men who still have short in front and a pony in back.
