How on earth would you coordinate that?

They will pull it off w/o a hitch.  It won't be as many as you think.  Only those dignataries with which GB has as allies and the heads of the commonwealth countries.  I'm guessing here, but it's the most logical way to look at it and I could be wrong.

@gertrudecloset   I bet you are spot on about just those few being invited.

There may be extra from around the world that would like to attend as she touched so many lives during her 70 years as Queen.

The attending countries will bring their security also...Scotland Yard and MI5.

Yepper.  Just because they may want to does not mean that they will be allowed to come.  They have to do this within reason.  She was head of state for 14 countries so no doubt they will represent.  Then of course allies, like the U.S. and others @Mersha .

This will be historical but it will be done well.  Yes about Scottland Yard and her Majesty's M15!!!!

Re: Logistics Of The Queen's Funeral

I would think you would have to be careful as to how many can fit into the church where the services will be held.

It would be awkward to tell guests there is no more room.

Who has been invited to represent the United States at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral?

The President and First Lady.  Other than that, we don't know.

It's not cousin Gertrude's funeral in the local church.

Guests are being invited, so they will know exactly how many will be at the church.

In sure there will be viewing screens set up outside the church and in public places all around England, like they do for Royal weddings.

Re: Logistics Of The Queen's Funeral

I was curious as to who will attend so this is what I found:

"Also likely to attend the funeral are Japan’s Emperor Naruhito — who may travel alongside Empress Masako and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida — Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and French President Emmanuel Macron, among many more.

Spain is likely to be represented by King Felipe VI, who has blood ties to the British royal family dating back to the 19th century. Members of other European royal families including from Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden will also travel.

“It would not be surprising if all the crowned heads of state from Europe come, as well as heads of state and heads of government in other countries,” said a former Cabinet minister who was in government at the time of another major funeral, that of former U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in 2013."

Sounds like many of the world's leaders are expected to be there.  I agree that it would be interesting to know just where everyone will be staying.

Re: Logistics Of The Queen's Funeral

Apparently, nothing is confirmed yet but the following is from the Washington Post:

Who will attend the queen’s funeral?

Heads of state and government from around the world will fly to London to join the royal family for the funeral. British politicians and former prime ministers will attend, as will members of royal families from other European countries.

President Biden confirmed on Friday that he plans to be there. “I don’t know what the details are yet, but I’ll be going,” he told reporters after speaking at an event in Ohio.
