Logging off email (gmail) app on Kindle Fire HD

Does anyone know how to log off gmail using the new Kindle Fire HD? On the Kindle Fire 1st gen in the email app there was a sign out icon in the top right of the page. I can't find anything on the KD HD app to sign out. I've gone to Kindle Support and read the stuff about email, but nowhere does it mention how to sign out. I guess gmail signs off automatically after a bit, but I always like to log out when I'm done.
