That's outrageous and ridiculous IMO ! Also read that two of the cats were so traumatized that they stayed hidden for two days after the family returned home! And btw, I'm in OP.
Did you read the posts after the stories? They are a hoot!

Yes...the comments are priceless! Binder & Binder must have been some kind of a nasty law firm.
I'm even in there...same nic.
Since I went to Nardin and my son to Canisius, it really interests us...

I do want to know where the bizarre idea that rich or upscale kids are better than any other kids. Having said that, the cat sitters family owes nothing to the homeowner. Not one red cent. Anyone who gives a teen unlimited access to their home deserves to come home to a mess. What? He never watches the news? Stories like this are fairly common now. The girl is minor, so good luck to him in getting restitution from her. But her parents shouldn't be held responsible...unless they were the party.

If you get the BN delivered, you need to register to view the articles...there is a firewall.
You get free access even if you just get the Sunday paper delivered.
That is probably why you are getting kicked out.

Yes, ITA.

As for other kids involved, I feel if I was a parent of one of them, I would feel terrible and expect my child to apologize and also insist they do some kind of community service and provide financial assistance where possible.
Asking for payment for the vacation is uncalled for. I wouldn't want to gouge anyone., i.e. expensive replacements.
I agree, but I will say this.
If those kids could do that, that, then they come from families where the parents aren't responsible. They fear no repercussions, either from their own parents, or anyone else.
But I still agree with Ford's post. They do need to be held accountable by the community ...law enforcement.
