Amy Scaglione was the Motto rep. I think motto morphed into Modern Soul. Linda took it over from that point
Modern Soul was around long before Motto....there was no morphing.
eta: Motto was basically more fitted and Modern Soul was oversized and quite huge. Nothing in the Modern Soul line ever fit me properly but Motto did and in quite a few items.

@Snoopp wrote:Does she have the twitter sheetsnob by any chance? There are some very strange tweets on there. Very odd indeed.
I didn't see any odd ones.?? She posted her last one in December. Then a big gap to 2014.
Did you read the ones about her job and boss?
No. I have to relook. I just did, but she didn't say her boss. Look at this if you hate your boss. That was in 2011.
What is 'sheetsnob'?
yes

There is a tweet about stupid boring job on there too.

@jonbon wrote:You know, this really has me wondering what is happening with LCNY. Didn't they say during their last TSV day (the spring jacket) that it was the only TSV for all of 2016? I found that odd at the time, since it's a brand with a weekly show. Hmmmm . . .
Yes they did say that and I found it very odd as well.

Linda Davies was with the Motto line? She in fact was Qvc's "Fashion Friend" before she was given a line to represent which pretty much shoots down your negative comment that every line she gets involved with goes down hill.
I don't remember her with Motto either, just Modern Soul. Thought maybe I had missed something. It sounds to me like Linda has some other irons in the fire judging by her blog post. I do like Liz Claiborne though and hope it doesn't disappear.
I don't ever remember Linda with Motto either. I remember her with Modern Soul and then when that line was gone, I remember she was given the title of "fashion friend." From there she started to rep the LCNY when it came along.
I only remember Amy repping Motto. When Motto went by the wayside, Amy moved to the home line.

Again folks, these people are just paid spokespeople for these brands and not your personal friends. I think people are lonely and want to think the QVC hosts and vendors actually are their friends. I think the blogs and facebook with all this sharing is required by the Q to help them sell more stuff.
I agree with you here, but I do think the vendors have to be trained in the product they sell. When I first started watching QVC, Claudia was the Birkenstock representative. She talked about having Birkenstocks as a young teenager. She also talked about her German background and how she made many trips to the Birkenstock plant in Germany. I trusted her, and she was extremely knowledgeable about the shoes. I miss Birkenstocks!
- OK, I digress! Sorry!
The Clarks representatives I've seen most of the time, Steve and now Amy, have an extensive background in the shoe industry. Steve is one of Clark's executive vice presidents, which is probably why he's not on much any longer.
Valerie Parr Hill is certainly talented and experienced.
I know you all can think of others I'm not too familiar with!
I don't think this applies to cosmetics companies at all. The vendors are usually the founders, and of course they ARE their companies - at least until they get bought out by a large conglomerate. ![]()
I've posted before that I don't think of hosts and vendors as "friends," but just as I get to know my favorite salespeople in a brick and mortar store, I gravitate to certain ones I seem to have something in common with, whether it's coloring for fashion ideas, or someone in the same stage of life with me (Pat has a DD in college; my DS is there.).
And of course there are those vendors I enjoy watching because they seem like extremely nice people - like Angel. I DVR a lot of QF shows because I like watching them! They make me happy! ![]()
