@Silver Fox1  I thought I was the only one who is not of fan of her.  Too cutesy with the "girlfriends" spiel.  I much refer Carol Ann.

WOW - this is quite a surprise, thought LD loved working with/for LC.  Wonder how MBR will handle this change.

Anyway, maybe Linda will reinvent bringing back affordable quilts now in her new line of work.  I'd love to see that happen.  Miss all of the quilt shows that used to be on qvc.

It's crazy how these spokes folks move from one brand to another too - from women's clothes to bedding, very odd I think.  Linda sold something else too before the LC line, can't recall what it was though.

Not crazy at all.  This is what should remind everyone that they are merely salespeople and not invested in any one brand.  This is what turns me off to this form of shopping -- there is little credibility and I know these people are not sincere.  They are blathering on only because they are paid to do so.

Your first sentence is correct. They are salespeople.  I don't know why you feel turned off by this, however.  They are simply doing the job they are paid to do. I don't invest myself in any one particular vendor to the point I feel betrayal when they move to a different line. It's no different than your favorite SA moving from Chico's to J Jill for a better opportunity. I don't doubt their credibility. I just presume they made a move for a better job.

I don't consider it "blathering on" when they are doing a job they are paid to do.

I am turned off by the blathering and what I perceive as obvious insincerity.  "Blathering" because they are (unnecessarily) long-winded, IMO, never taking a breath, simply to fill every second...and most of what they say is of little substance.

Re: Liz Claiborne - some changes are coming!

Apparently Suzanne posted this on her FB page in January.  I just found it on the Home Shoppingnista Blog:

Suzanne Everett has left the house at QVC.

OK, we’ll ‘fess us. We didn’t know who she was when we saw her post on Facebook.

Now our understanding is that she was a rep for QVC’ proprietary bedding brand, Northern Nights. Our only excuse is that we do not watch many home shopping shows about sheets, and watch none about cookware.

Anyway, here is what Everett posted on Friday:

I am posting this with regret and sadness, but it’s the easiest way to let you know… As of yesterday, January 14th, I no longer work with QVC. It’s been a wonderful 14 years, and I will miss everyone I ever crossed paths with in my time there.

While this was not something I had originally planned for, I am taking this major life change as being full of possibilities. My future is wide open, and I’m excited to see what it brings.

With this in mind, I will be completely shutting down this Facebook page as of February 1st. Thank you all for the entertainment, the support, and the wonderful stories you’ve shared with me here.

I wish you all the best.

Whoa. That certainly reads to me like she was let go by QVC. It also sounds as if they will be doing away with Northern Nights - but knowing QVC they could just slap a newly created name on the same substandard mdse that was getting NN complaints.

@Moonchilde

I liked the NN reps.  As far as what is happening to the brand, I have no idea.

Linda repped for Modern Soul and Motto.  Amy Scaglione (sp?) repped Motto then went into Home Reflections.  The rep from Effortless Style by Citiknits also went to Home Reflections and some other home thing.

Hell, I can't keep track of it.

Does she have the twitter sheetsnob by any chance?  There are some very strange tweets on there.  Very odd indeed.

Re: Liz Claiborne - some changes are coming!

I hope being the NN rep works out for LindaD. I think she will do a good job. Since I don't buy LC, does not impact me in that regard. Imagine this move us all part of Q's downsizing. Probably don't want to pay a rep and a back up rep anymore. I seldom read her blog so did not know about real estate license and staging homes. Sounds like she may be planning for a career beyond the Q. The person who asked how she stays in shape, she plays tennis and is a good friend of Jayne Brown also a tennis player. I wish her well.

Wow @Bird mama ... very interesting ... I always thought Suzanne did a great job with Northern Nights sheets on QVC.

I do think the quality of Northern Nights sheets has gone down in the last few years and I don't buy them anymore. If the product's quality goes down there will be lower sales. Sometimes the sales numbers are not the fault of the rep but the change in quality of the product. I hope Linda Davies can communicate this if she is collaborating with the team on making new products. I much preferred the sheets they used to make in Portugal. Of course the price of cotton went up and changes were made all around.

I was very surprised with the announcement that Linda was leaving the Liz Claiborne New York line. I thought she really enjoyed fashion, going to New York to work on the clothing products, her time on Wednesdays with Mary Beth and all. We will miss her.

I do wonder with Suzanne's departure that QVC looked around and chose a well-liked representative for Northern Nights. That combined with Linda obtaining her real estate license and perhaps wanting to transition out of a weekly show. It makes sense to me.

Re: Liz Claiborne - some changes are coming!

You know, this really has me wondering what is happening with LCNY. Didn't they say during their last TSV day (the spring jacket) that it was the only TSV for all of 2016? I found that odd at the time, since it's a brand with a weekly show. Hmmmm . . .

@PINKdogWOOD  Wasn't it the facial flex? I thought her husband  demonstrated it ion air with her before he passed away.
