Live Virbrantly

[ Edited ]

An influential person in my life, Will Tuttle, is speaking tomorrow on the free docuseries Live Vegan Vibrantly.  I'm really looking forward to his contribution and thought I would share the opportunity.  I'm sure all my whole foods plant based sisters will enjoy this whole series, but even if you aren't WFPB I think you will enjoy this experience.

I love Laura Christine! I’ll have to check this out.

Love those free webinars.

I’m about to begin a Mastering Diabetes webinar in about 5 minutes.

Love this community!

@phoenixbrd I missed seeing your post until today...can you pass along a couple of the highlights from the docuseries?

@dex  I did not see the docuseries but did look into it briefly just a bit based on a wellness thread post.  Because I did not actually explore it, I won't comment on it except to say, although it seems like a nice vegan based program, there is a specific animal welfare agenda behind it which is just not for me.

You can google live vegan vibrantly to see what they are all about.

I also missed your post on this and would be very interested to view the docuseries.  Do you know if it can be viewed now, after the event?

TIA!!

@QueenDanceALot@Laura14 @dex @sidsmom

Thanks @sidsmom  Thanks for your synopsis (wasn't that amazing information about the wild blueberries)... Victoria Moran terrific! To the other posters....no there is no overarching agenda here other than health and living a vibrant life. Neal Barnard, Chef AJ, Will Tuttle, and Moran have contributed so far and each contributes in a special way and their expertise regarding  living a healthy lifestyle.  This docuseries has been one of the best I have watched regarding this subject (right up there with the Mastering Diabetes series).

Dr. Barnard initiated the Physicians for Responsible Medicine committee which has been instrumental in being able to make significant legal changes for a healthier lifestyle. (He offered a free 21 day kickstart WFPB that included recipes and shopping lists for each day...which I downloaded.)  Chef AJ discussed her forty year struggle with obesity and her ability to overcome using a whole foods plant based diet. She is a fireball and a role model for what can be accomplished living this lifestyle. Will Tuttle wrote the World Peace Diet.  If you are not familiar with him, he excels at teaching the implications of living a WFPB diet and the implications that it has for our planet and society as well as our health.  He and wife travel the world teaching. I highly recommend listening to his interview on You Tube that he gave last year if you missed this one.  He discussed his travels last year to India and China and how these cultures are incorporating this way of life....many significant and inspirational observations.   He has been very influential in my own journey.  Sidsmom gave you a brief overview of the V. Moran's interview yesterday, which is still available today.  She is an inspiration for what this lifestyle can accomplish and she discusses the ways that it can be implemented in our lives

Each of these people are amazing role models for living a WFPB way of life and each has offered examples and suggestions for a healthy life.  I highly recommend this docuseries.  Today Dr. Kahn will be speaking.  This is a brief overview written by the moderator of today's interview:  Dr. Joel Kahn is one of the kindest and generous experts, leaders and physician I’ve ever encountered. He treats all walks of life with respect. Through his passion and calling, he shares why a healthy vegan, whole food, plant based, lifestyle is best for your heart with several invaluable mastery keys to longevity.

You still have access to yesterday's contribution for several more hours. There has been so much information from these interviews and I hope you are inspired to listen to the remaining contributors.  Each person has offered their perspective and has had a gift to share.

@phoenixbrd  That's good to hear.  Both places I went for this program previously spoke out about animal welfare and one actually had PETA notations.  And, while I am extremely respectful of other people's philosophies, I am not looking for anything other than some nutrition and vegan/vegetable recipe info.  I might go take another look.

@Laura14

If it’s straight forward PB nutrition & recipes, DrMcDougall.com

is the place for you. His website has hundreds & hundreds of

plant based recipes....and everything you would want to know

about plant based eating...all with philosophies not mentioned.

He’s strictly food, knowledge & studies to back it up.

@phoenixbrd

Thank you for the info!

I have not had a span of time today to sit down and listen, but I have listened to Dr. Kahn quite a lot in other interviews and on various panel discussions.

I have heard Will Tuttle a bit (I will watch last year's interview when I get a block of time.

Of course, I am familiar with Dr. Barnard and Chef AJ and like them both.
