It sounds like QVC and "other" parties could not agree and abandoned the trademark.

I wouldn't say that Lisa Mason was let go. I think she knew her final year of her contract was just that. I remember her offering a special watch that was inscribed with some type of saying on the underside of it during her anniversary show at the earlier part of the year. She also announced her impending departure a couple of months ahead of time and offered one final diamonique cross on her last show in December 2010.

This whole thing is very odd. Lisa and her assistant both have commented within the last couple of weeks about GILI items coming next year to QVC and other things Lisa was working on for GILI. Lisa also had talked about LRS coming back next year.

I don't think this announcement was haphazardly thrown together though because someone said there is a montage on youtube of Lisa's announcement and appearances.

But it seems odd to me that Claire Watts is no longer CEO and now Lisa is leaving. I have to wonder if that is related?

But then I've gotten the feeling QVC is beneath Lisa now. She is no longer interested in hawking the merchandise they want to sell. She has seemed bored with the regular programs and downright uninterested in work. Several times she has said she was late for work because she forgot her schedule, didn't know she was supposed to be there, etc.

As for the nasty comments, Lisa is very, very involved on her FB page. I think moreso than any other host. If nasty comments were getting to her, why continue to be so involved?

I heard the announcement when she made it and it seems to be she is done with QVC. No continuation of the GILI line with her or her being a vendor for another line as some had suggested. But who knows.

Actually, no one really tracked Lisa down. Leslie Blodgett posted on her FB page that Lisa had a new page and she even posted the link to it.

I took a gander and Lisa has asked people to spread the word about her new page.
