Re: Lisa Robertson - Closing her On Line Business

She bought her " farm" at a steal of a price compared to the asking price.

It's previous owner took a large loss when they sold it to her. They purchased it for $3,110,000 and sold it to Lisa for  $1,929,970.

Chances are high that Lisa will take a financial hit selling her home too.

She will make very little when it sells and will probably take a loss. She will be extremely lucky to break even.

In the meantime, her real estate taxes are gonna kill her savings.  It has been listed since June 2 and she has not lowered the listing price.

Her property taxes alone are $29,669 a year, and she probably has a mortgage.

She is sinking fast....things don't look good. I would hate to be in her shoes.

@kittykatkay-I agree, especially those distressed jeans & those blouses. She models the items but I don’t think she’d wear any of them.

I don’t have a garden but the items seem nice. I ordered her artificial tulips & I liked the quality.

@Stray , I agree.  Oh I love her garden items and I also have some of her artificial flowers,  I love them all.  I'm glad you like yours.  I'm going to miss Lisa, but I wish her success  in the future.

Her and her husband are going to be taking people on trips out of the country. They are already lined up with her travel agent and advertising the trips. Looks like starting in 2025 so I guess giving them time to get newly settled.

@proudlyfromNJ , you are right.  I've seen where she has set up a trip in 2024 and one in 2025.  I think they are to Ireland and one to Alaska, but I can be wrong.  I wonder if she is only going to do one trip per year which doesn't seem like alot.

@Pink123 , I agree.  I have always liked Lisa and wish she would have stayed at QVC, but it was not meant to be.  I do wish her success in whatever she wants to do, which looks like going into the travel business.

I see where Kate and Chantel (the models on the Q) used to work with Lisa and her company but are now back on the Q modeling clothes, makeup.  It's nice they came back.

I have several of her jewelry pieces and they are all excellent quality. Her shipping was prompt and the one time I contacted her customer service my issue was dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner. I wish her the best in her new endeavor.

@QVCkitty1 , I also have a few of her jewelry pieces when she first started.  I agree with you, the jewelry is exquisite.  Also, Lisa's shipping was prompt and very fast.  I was impressed.  I never had to contact her customer service as I was satisfied with everything.

@Carmie , wow....that is alot of taxes.  I don't think she will get what she is asking for either, even though she made alot of improvements.  I hope she does sell it soon though.

Hi @kittykatkay  I come from the travel industry.

I feel bad for her as the industry does not think about Lisa Robertson and a few of her followers.

Again as I said before, she is lovely but makes some strange business decisions.  Cruises?  There are thousands and it is one of the biggest industry now for over  25 years or more.

Lisa is a "peanut" in a very huge cruise world.  When she is no longer recognized selling items, it will be less than zero.

Re: Lisa Robertson - Closing her On Line Business

@Pink123 , thanks for the insight on the travel business.  I know in the beginning, Lisa had lots of her fans go on the trips when she first started.  But, a couple of the fans, I know and they said the last couple of trips, hardly anyone signed up.

I agree with you in that I don't know how Lisa will make money doing cruises or trips and if her last couple of cruises had very few people, it might not be rewarding for her.  But then again, maybe she is only going to do it for fun and not for money.  We will see.

@kittykatkay  On her blog she has Spain set up for 2025 and Alaska for 2025. She posted a picture somewhere of her and husband with a group in Ireland. Seems they already did that one. Don't know when.
