Lining up for the new iPhone

I don't get it. These are not inexpensive phones, nor are the data plans required to run them.

Yet, "in this econonmy", seems there is no shortage of people to buy them and pay the price every month.

Don't get me wrong, people are free to use their money any way they want, and I know this is what keeps the economy moving - spending, but the photos of the lines don't mesh with the headlines of unemployment numbers and declining income.
