Lights Out - Help Migrating Biirds

Weather Channel just now - asked GA (Atlanta) and other big/tall buildings to turn off lights at night as they confuse migrating flocks.
(never thought about this before but      = follow the stars and not the CNN neon board)

Wow, @fthunt ,  good thought from the Weather Channel.  Hoping all those migrating birds find a sure, non-confusing way to get to their far-flung destinations.

It is like shouting in a wind tunnel to cause action on this, but I am totally on board.

Some states have "dark skies" mandates (AZ, for one) and I so wish my state (and neighbors) would do the same.

I don't know if the whole state of Cali has this but where  I live, we do have the "dark skies" mandate.

We do lights out to help the turtles navigate their way.

I think that is a great idea to help the migrating birds.
