Letter From QVC about a BECCA Safety Recall Notice......😲😲

So it said to call CS to be issued a refund and to immediately stop using the concealer. So I tried calling and got no one! Did anyone else get this notice from QVC?

Mods can you help with this?

I don't understand why the onus should be one you to contact them for a refund. QVC knows to whom they sold the item. They should have refunded when they contacted you. I guess in a perfect world...

I've never heard, of a company automatically issuing refunds, to customers, when a product is recalled.

@SuhseK   The letter from QVC stated that a refund would be issued.

@Etoile308   Exactly! The letter from QVC states, “according to our records, you purchased this product and now there is a safety recall.”

The letter should have been a notice that they would be automatically refunding me.

@SuhseK   Also, it’s a safety recall due to mold growing on the tip of the concealer. They have to refund people, because can you imagine if someone lost their vision from an infection? It takes the heat off QVC and puts the ball totally in BECCA’s court for responsibility. I’m not a lawyer, but that is just my opinion.

not sure any company does that.

for example, i have had recalls issued by sams club.

they know you purchased it and they call you to let you know.

you still have to stop by the desk to get a refund (either with your receipt or they can look up your purchase history.)

if i go to the grocery store, they know my account by my phone number. they dont issue me a credit right away, they make me stop at the service counter with my receipt and/or product for a refund.

It's a voluntary recall. That means you decide to keep or return it. Do not toss it. If they aren't answering the phone maybe try email. I haven't decided if I'm keeping mine.

Do not throw it away! If you don't want to keep it, you will have to return it. That is how recalls work. If I'm wrong, that's great. But technically all they have to do is send the letter letting you know of the situation. Then it's your decision to risk it. Which you be honest... it's a sponge tip applicator LoL
