I ordered a dress from Target and it came in 2 days. I ordered a top from HSN and it came in 5 days. Every so often a package from QVC shows up and I have no idea what it is, because it was so long ago I ordered it.

Why? Other places aren’t having these corona problems. Let’s speculate.

1. Their new distribution center isn’t air conditioned and people quit.

2. Their computer programmers put a bug in the system that adds six weeks to every order.

3. Every order passes through Mike George’s home first.

4. Bonuses are paid based on length of time package is in the distribution center.

5. QVC needed to raise their bottom line by increasing shipping costs so they chose slowest possible delivery methods, including pack mule.

You have a good sense of humor.

Talk about slow, I've had a package sitting in IL for four days so what it starts and then what? Gets stuck!!!
This happens all the time. Oh well not gonna stop me from buying Kim Gravel's clothing 😍

Your  reasons are very good.  My thinking is all their problems started when they moved their fulfillment center to CA to easily bring in all the goods they supply us from China.

@newname0   I am in California and I wait two months or more for advance orders, a few weeks for other orders.

Re: Let’s guess why QVC shipping is so slow!

If the new fulfillment center is in California it hasn’t made any difference to me receiving my orders. I waited almost 3 weeks for an order to ship it was “PROCESSING”!!!
Nine days ago I ordered 2 tops from LOGO & they r PROCESSING too
Today I received an email from QVC saying they r sorry for the delay I “should” receive my items by 9/7. I wonder if they mean 9/7/21!!!! If I could’ve responded to the email I would’ve said “ what else is new”.
I don’t get why they have so many shipping delays, like a lot of people have said on the forums no other company seems to be having these issues. Terrible way to treat customers.

QVC should hire less hosts and more people in their warehouses to get the orders “processed” and shipped! So many other sellers, big and small, do so much better in their shipping. The needs to do better, much better.

Re: Let’s guess why QVC shipping is so slow!

I think the reason is simply...the item isn't in the warehouse to ship.

Dear Friend of mine is a supplier for home decor. Middleman/buyer whatever you want to call it. She assists companies in the purchase of items for resale and retailers have KNOWN that items are not coming in from overseas (CHina for the most part) since before Covid. Some care, some don't. What she's dealing with is companies who are selling items they don't have and then tell the customer there will be "delays" or the item is "backordered".  This gives them all the time they need to get the item in. Also, some companies charge up front for the item even before it ships; some don't. Those that do bank the money and use it to pay for the products they THEN order; why pay for more than you need? Covid changed the rules of the game, that's for sure.

Son wanted items from HSN for football season yesterday; EVERYTHING was backordered till November that he wanted (some later). I ordered just after midnight when they came on live and STILL they were backordered!  I'm wondering if they are doing as DF said: selling and then the vendor placing their order for just the number sold.

WHo knows. I'll wait for some things, won't for others.
