I ordered a dress from Target and it came in 2 days. I ordered a top from HSN and it came in 5 days. Every so often a package from QVC shows up and I have no idea what it is, because it was so long ago I ordered it.
Why? Other places aren’t having these corona problems. Let’s speculate.
1. Their new distribution center isn’t air conditioned and people quit.
2. Their computer programmers put a bug in the system that adds six weeks to every order.
3. Every order passes through Mike George’s home first.
4. Bonuses are paid based on length of time package is in the distribution center.
5. QVC needed to raise their bottom line by increasing shipping costs so they chose slowest possible delivery methods, including pack mule.

Your reasons are very good. My thinking is all their problems started when they moved their fulfillment center to CA to easily bring in all the goods they supply us from China.

My experience was thought provoking. I ordered a pair of capris on May 12. It was to be delivered on May 27. That date came and went the order was still in process. I let it go until Jun 9th. I email the contact on the bottom of the page and asked why and asked nicely for a reply. The next day my capris were out of processing and on their way.
Hmmm...

They ran out of boxes.

I ordered from Macy's, HSN and QVC on the same day. Macy's and HSN are already here in Chicago and will be delivered by Tuesday. QVC is still "in process." IMO all of the OP's "guesses" are valid especially #5.

You need to add a #6. Mike George's wife opens and checks inside all the packages that get to their home first because she's looking for the capris she ordered last February.

I have no idea what is going on and can not even come up with a funny guess. Some of my items have arrived in a reasonable time. Others have been way delayed. I had one Denim & Co. top that was so late that QVC gave me a $10 credit to pacify me. Then it was shipped and it did arrive, but the info was wrong on my account and it read that it shipped the day after I got it at my home.
I now have two other Denim and Co. items that have been delayed. One of them is the set of three tops that was a TSV. Someone mentioned on another thread that the slow items may not even be in their warehouse yet, that they are selling things they don't even have posession of. That is the only thing I can think of. I used to think it was because of the virus, but the longer this goes on, the less I believe that.

all funny comments aside
as a company, they have no incentive to improve,
a customer can't cancel an order if it doesn't ship in a timely manner (covid aside), so their money is safe.
yet people keep buying
