The other day I finished Defending Jacob by William Landay. I enjoyed the book; I actually couldn't stop reading it, but I was perplexed by the ending.
Did Laurie purposely kill Jacob because she knew he was guilty of killing Ben and the girl in the islands? Did she try to kill herself as well?
Did Andy's father contract the mobster to kill the child molester and make it look like a suicide to help Jacob?
Do you think Laurie was indicted in Jacob's death? Do you think that at the very end, Andy was testifying at Laurie's trial?
Did you think that Andy was a good prosecutor but when it came to Andy, he was very naive? I think he was.
So much to discuss!
