Totally right.  My dad was the only lefty I knew growing up.  His writing was very nice.

Good point about the handwriting.  My left handed mother's writing was lovely - and she didn't do that awkward grip, either.  Interestingly, she also taught me to crochet right-handed.

I am left handed in writing only. Everything else I do including eating with a spoon or fork, I am right handed.

My mother was a lefty.  My youngest son is too.  My husband has a left handed brother.  All three do some tasks right handed.

My son plays both left and right handed guitars.

I am right handed.  My right handed daughter ties her shoes like a lefty.  She learned from my mother.

Re: Left Hand Or Right Hand

Yes.....everyone!  I'm a lefty.  It figures with me.  The only lefty in the family.  And in my family.  My son, thankfully is right handed like his dad. Such fun I had when I was in the Middle East.  I walked around with my left hand behind my back.  I practiced signing my name with my right hand. Oh the shame!  You're part devil being left handed there.  Women are experts in deboning a chicken with one hand. You can't touch food with your left hand.

My husband is left handed.  My mother was left handed as well.  The nuns in her Catholic school tried to get her to write with her right hand but couldn't.   She did do everything else with her right hand.  Neither DH or my mother hold their pen or pencil upside down both hold it as a right handed person would.
