LeeAnn Rimes's duet with CarlyRose

LeeAnn responds on twitter to criticism of her duet with Carly on the XFactor. Critics are saying that she looked like she was drunk and that she was trying to out-sing Carly.

"In my 18 years of performing, I have never been anything but professional onstage. It is a shame that gossip and lies are overshadowing the performance of Carly, a very talented young girl.<br /> And while I have not given any media outlet a quote, if you want one, here it is “It was an amazing opportunity to share this experience with Carly and I know I’ll be watching for her to win tonight."

I did notice that that LeeAnn missed some of the notes and fumbled some of the lyrics. But isn't out-singing each other usually what they do when they do duets in these singing competitions? I don't think it was a perfect performance...from both.
