I realize you prefaced your post as being hypothetical but the idea the cartel has Nancy being take care of by a paid doctor is the scene right out of Breaking Bad 🤔

The cartel would have no reason to kidnap Nancy. They would not need any money from Nancy'/her family.

Yes he has been convicted and has served time for fraud.

Known for filling lawsuits against such persons as Nostradamus, Plato, Jimmy Hoffa and even Guinness Book of Records, contemporary persons and also driving to Connecticut claiming to be the uncle of the Sandy Hook shooter.

Take him as you will.

He is not a credible "investigator reporter".

I can't remember who I heard say it, I've been listening and reading through various pages, but yes, he does apparently have a past.  It seems his crimes have been dealt with and his debt to society has been satisfied through prison time. Whatever happened before is in the past, not current. Does that mean I'd ever trust him. Probably not.  But live streaming is just that, live onsite video feed that can't be altered in real time.  So my curiosity gets me to watch. 🤷‍♀️

He watched as Brian Entin, Local reporters, Daily Mail, Paparazzi etc pulled in.

I haven't heard him claim that title, @Cakers3.  Have you?  
I don't think he's doing any in depth investigation and reporting.  He's streaming and has some small talk with people on the scene.  That's all that I can tell.
