You know, when you are all up in your feelings, and you forget how to do the most superficial and silliest of things?

I forgot how to turn on the hot water for my shower this morning. So, I took a rather cold shower while planning to deal with plumbing. After I was finished, I noticed the hot water in my sink was fine. I walked over to the shower, and yep. TURNED ON THE HOT WATER.

The hot water was fine. I have been in such an uber-panic mode lately, so I forgot to turn it on.

Silly mistake! Have to laugh.

Do you do silly things like this?

Yes, I do silly things all the time, particularly when I'm distracted, or upset about something. Doing silly things is a big club, with lots of new members every day...LOL. Welcome to the clubhouse.

Yes, I DO do things like that. The other day I was about to have a hissy fit because my Keurig didn't work. Then I realized that I had turned it on, but forgot to push the start button. Almost went into full panic mode thinking I wasn't going to get any coffee for a while!

Oh yes a couple of weeks ago I could not get my computer to work.  Asked for hubbies help.  He found the surge protector was not turned on.  I forgot to turn it on.Woman Frustrated

I'm always doing dumb things and find that if I'm able to laugh at my stupidity or carelessness it helps. If anyone were to look in to my home and saw me talking to myself and laughing, I may would have to be committed...but it makes life go a bit easier for me. Keep laughing!

Lately, I seem to be vying for a leadership position in the distracted activities club. Just the other day, I put my insulin pen in my jewelry box and my earrings in my refrigerator. Oops!

When I'm feeling upset or distracted by life, my mind is going a million miles a minute thinking of this and that.  It's time like that, that I will think "oh I need to go and do this" then I get into the room and can't remember what I went in there to do.  Or I set things down in weird places that I normally would not put them and then can't find them later.

We all do it and the best remedy is to laugh at ourselves.  It's those times I remind myself that I need to take a deep breath, settle my thoughts, and re-focus.

yup, especially online if I haven't used a program for awhile.

Just this weekend my dear kitty  done what many felines do--barfed on of course living room rug. Aha! just what I purchased the new Shark little clean up machine for.

I got it out of storage, plugged it in,& got the little cleanup attachment out. Whoa--not working. I only had used it once , but it was great then. I kept trying to get it to spray and it wouldn't--very frustrating. Then big dummy finally realized I was pushing on the button to connect it not the one to spray!Woman Surprised

Last night I was looking all over for my slippers.  Couldn't figure out what had happened to them.  After about 10 minutes I happened to look down, and yup, I was wearing my slippers.  Whoops!
