Yesterday I answered my phone and a recording came on. It proceeded to YELL at me that it - they - whoever - had sent many letters to my house about my credit card. They yelled that my balance was in jeopardy and I needed to talk to them at once. Then it said "Press 1". Now I know for a fact I do not have a balance on my credit card since I pay it off in full every month. Plus I have not received any letters at my house. I hung up the phone without pressing 1. I think this was just a scam to get information out of me! I can see how anyone who does carry a balance on their credit card would be disturbed by this. (This recording was really yelling at me!). Be careful who you talk to on the phone . If you do get a call about your credit cards do not give out personal information. Tell them you will call the credit card company directly with the number on the back of your credit card. Do not let them intimidate you into giving out personal information. Hang up and call the company directly. You have to be so careful these days!
