Laser Treatments For Canine Arthritis?

My 14 year old beagle has osteoarthritis. She has been on different anti-inflammatories plus glucosamine chondroitin, all with limited success. Pain meds upset her stomach. We go to a wonderful, large vet practice with many specialists. Laser treatments were recommended by the orthopedic surgeon. I read up on it and it seems worth trying. Does anyone have any experience with this treatment?
