It was on Whidbey Island (sp?) and is 2 hrs driving from the city, where my niece lives and goes to Naturopathic School there. Prior to that for years she lived on Bainesville Island and that entire area now scares me, although she loved living there, as it is nice and quiet, what she cherishes.
Some 34 houses are seriously damaged, 1 house completely gone and it is anticipated that further landslides there will yet come. I hope noone else has loved ones in that area. On TV the pictures were horrendous.
