My Sears which is now closing, stopped carrying Lands End a few years ago.  I don't buy much Lands End now because I have no store to return it if it doesn't fit.

I'm hoping they will open some stores.  It looks like they will.  DH loves their turtlenecks and they do carry some quality clothing.  I would like to see some L.L. Bean stores, too.

Our Sears store closed a few months ago, and with it went my return point for Lands' End. My ordering (mostly for my daughter and husband) has gone down significantly now that I have to pay for return shipping -- I'm much less willing to try something about which I'm unsure.

From an article in 2014 from Consumers Reports ... Entitled Lands End Divorce From Sears Complete But They're Still Roommates:

After twelve years together, Sears and Lands’ End have officially split. They’ve been through a lot together: Sears bought the former sailing gear retailer in 2002, before the formation of the sprawling disaster that is Sears Holdings. For a while at least, absolutely nothing will change for consumers.

Lands End has been opening Pop-Up stores around NYC for the past few years.

There was a NY Times article about the stores.

They do offer free shipping for orders over $50, although you do have to still pay sales tax, if applicable.

If the order is under $50, shipping is $8.00.

In Pennsylvania where I live, we pay no tax on clothing or shoes.  Yeah!

Lands End is my favorite shopping website.  I know how most of their clothes fit and I like a lot of what they offer.  I always get my jeans and tee-shirts there, along with a number of other things.  I probably spend more there than anywhere else....or every place else combined.  I hope it stays in existence.
