I had CNN on but was in another room and when I heard what was happening I turned the channel. This media feeding frenzy sickens me.

It is a strange thing to do, but maybe he was being hounded by dozens or even hundreds of reporters and so decided to let some in and get it over with. Once they'd written their stories and run their pictures and film, it likely wouldn't have news value anymore unless there was some odd twist to the story. He could have been forced by circumstances to do this.
I've been wondering what he'll do with the property now. Who wants to live there now? I'd be afraid some dangerous jihadists would come by since it was part of this event.

Extremists don't think like us, Krimpette. In their warped minds, the child will grow up in a place of honor, because both of his parents were martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the cause. In our culture it would cause shame, but in their belief system, it is just the opposite.
But are the people who are now going to raise her extremists also?
no they are normal people. Good grief.

That's a great point! I'm sure you recall the reports about a neighbor saying about a half dozen Middle Eastern men were working at that house well into the night recently and boxes and boxes of stuff was being delivered. She said she'd become suspicious. Further, the FBI says they were building bombs (pipe bombs?) and had a whole bunch of them in their home.
This means it didn't just involve this couple who ended up being killed by the police. What about the other at least five or so who were on the property recently working with them?
I've been watching CNN and wondering what is wrong with the anchors' brains. They'll conduct an interview and say oh we don't know why he did it. Then up next will be a discussion of the evidence and even the FBI's statements that it's terrorism. Then back to oh we don't know why they did this. It is beyond bizarre to listen to this! Are they just reading from a script without any thought process whatsoever? They never even mention the neighbors' complaint about these men working late into the night with the two known terrorists recently. THIS TELLS US THAT IT IS NOT JUST THEM unless somehow the neighbor was hallucinating. I doubt that.

Why would terrorists have any rights left...The wife pledged her allegiance to ISIS on facebook the day they struck her husband's workplace...
The grandmother had to have known what was going on...not only was the house a bomb and weapon enclave, but according to the list of items taken by the FBI there were numerous boxes of ammunition that would have made a major dent in floor space of the apartment...the major theme of the house was weaponry and terrorism
Oh....and guess who will pick up the tab raising the baby. Sad alll the way around.

I think the FBI has discounted this neighbor's story...said so far they have nothing to back it up.

I've seen nothing about that, Terrier. If that was going on, unless the house is surrounded by plenty of land, which it didn't seem to be, others might have seen/heard it too.
ABC News is reporting that the female terrorist was approved for a K-1 visa to come here using an address that DOES NOT EXIST. Does this make all of you scared? It scares me! They need to look into who approved this and whether procedure was followed. If not, heads should roll. If they followed procedure and it did not turn up a fictitious address, we need to change these policies. Public safety is paramount TO US. Is it paramount to the federal bureaucracy? I hope so!

I am going to add something else into this, that just did not feel right to me,the lawyers for the family of the killers, just found them to be disgusting.

Goldensrbest, I agree (about the lawyers...beaglesrbest, IMHO). Everyone is entitled to an attorney but, as my husband said, "Why do two dead people need two lawyers?" I suppose the family expects legal difficulties. They should. The story those lawyers concocted was the biggest pile of manure I've ever seen. There was the ordinary housewife and mother who chose never to drive, the grandmother who only lived upstairs and stayed out of the garage because it was her son's man cave, the family who never saw or suspected anything. It sounded like the plot of sit com, but was even more unbelievable. Those lawyers should have followed the legal advice they give clients, "Keep your mouth shut!" The more they said, the more I wanted to scream, so I just changed the channel.
