Khloe, Kim and Kris are by Lamar Odom's hospital bedside but reality show cameras are not ... according to sources close to production and at the hospital.

TMZ has learned that "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" is on a hiatus, so there's no staff to shoot anything even if the family wanted it. We're told none of the Kardashians want their hospital vigil public ... in no small part because Khloe is devastated.

There are reports the family walked in with cameras rolling -- not true ... cameras did not accompany them.

To the contrary, we're told the Kardashians have banned any photography in eyeshot of Lamar.

Khloe did try to help him, but he wasn't ready to be helped. He appeared to love her, too, but it wasn't enough. She will have a hard time with this I'm afraid.

I just saw a new piece that said he DID show a huge amount of drugs (overdose) in his system and there was possibly a stroke caused, while he was unconscious, that really complicates just the overdose.

I cannot verify the information for absolute fact, however, but it was a E! News piece that just came up on my home page.

It sure made it look a lot worse.

The troubled star's NBA career has deteriorated over the past few years and his use of hardcore recreational drugs was blamed for the collapse of his marriage to Khloe. Odom has two children from a previous relationship with Liza Morales; Destiny, 17, and 13-year-old Lamar Jr.

Doesn't sound good. Track Marks. Other drugs as well. A stroke. Doesn't sound good. He's probably gone.

Helped him...by taking him out to nightclubs? That wasnt helping him, that is enabling him. How can a weak person (Lemar) stay sober when they are around someone with her qualities. Dont get me wrong, I like Khloe, she seems like the most genuine of the K's but until she changes some of her ways, they are toxic for each other.

I hope he comes thru this and accepts it as a wake up call.
Khloe did not know about Lamar's drug addiction when they met and (quickly) got married. He started back up again during the marriage. She tried to help him and get him to rehab. Then he started disappearing and get involved back into in drugs. Khloe tried to get him help... and finally divorced him when he did not get clean.

@SeaGal You did not say anything wrong. I think when the Kardashians are involved... everyone assumes there is always publicity angle...which in most in cases, is probably true. Lol

Khloe never stopped loving Lamar. I think she was very despondent when he didn't sober up to stay in their relationship. Sadly that happens more often then not. Hopefully he will not suffer, I honestly do not think he will make it. He is probably going to where he wanted to be.

Hi bestdressed, no I did! I just assumed Khloe could be a bad influence on Lamar as the only photos I see of them together is in or leaving a night club. It just seems that if Khloe really wanted to help him she may have to give up her partying lifestyle as assuridly it would be hard on the addict partner with booze etc in your life that way, that would be love on Khloes behalf.

eta~ heck maybe she tried that too, I dont know but I think I should just back out of this conversation lol!!

I certainly wish Lamar (and Khloe) well.

Yes, I see your point. Maybe she was enabling him at the beginning .... or he was hiding his addiction until it became apparent something was clearly wrong. There was a point when Khloe gave him an ultimatum ...which she finally followed through on, when they divorced.

Yes, bestdressed and if he is sneaking off to to his thing I'm not sure there is anything anyone can do to help him. Thanks again, I didnt realize so much of the background to their relationship. I hope he gets another chance and runs with it.
