Years ago you could not post a review unless you bought the item. You would get a message saying you didn't buy it here. I tried one many years ago on an item that Q sold but I bought it somewhere else. It would not let me post a review. Now, obviously you can.

I went to the Bare Minerals Foundation. It shows 25 reviews but when I go to the actual product all it has is questions. So, the Q must have removed them. Too bad, I was all set for some humor.

While your point makes sense because people shouldn't review products they have no experience with or haven't personally tried, I don't give much value to most reviews anyway. One product isn't going to work for everyone. Some might receive a damaged or defective product and that tarnishes their opinion, others don't purchase the right size or color in the first place then try to place blame. It's all very subjective, and I try not to purchase anything without researching it first, I don't often make "impulse" purchases. Unless it is a personal review from a friend, I might find the person's opinion interesting or helpful, but I rarely let it sway my decision of whether or not to make a purchase.

There is a drop down box now that asks you if you bought the item or received it as a gift. Yes or No. And, you must answer to proceed.
Whether it allows you to post a review with a No answer, I have no idea as I've always answered Yes. Whether it allows you to say Yes when the answer was really no, I also have no idea. Someone will have to test it and report back.

Why don't you just use Google and search for 'user reviews of (product name)'???
That way, you'll at least see more postings based on actual experience with the product.
You cannot tell people what to do, only respectfully ask. And you can't also expect or assume that anyone will acquiesce.

Sure, some reviews came in glowing at first, but then, most were updated with things like "Worked great for 6 months and now its dead" "It died after a year and no help form Masterbuilt C/S" " Temp controller went bad and there is NO fix"-
Of course some reviews were bad from the beginning....I found that very few of them worked more than a couple of years.. Of course, I stupidly didn't do ther esearch until MINE went bad...
I always wondered about the Masterbuilt Smokers. Good to know...
I've found out the hard way with some other Q kitchen products that don't last or stand up to regular use. The problem is people rush to review a product the second they get it, they don't wait a few months to see how it performs over time.
I had to throw out a Q pressure cooker after I used it for about the 6th time. Then I went to Amazon and bought a Cuisinart pressure cooker for about the same price and it's been GREAT!

Hello OP.........so happy you came to the board and I hope you will come back. I did not know that anyone would write about an item they have never tried but I also like to look at reviews here and I go online to Google and look for review and at Sephora. It is important to know it something fits true to size or too small or too big.........you want quality and value and I think most of us do.

I never could understand why people do this, it is ridiculous! I have seen people leave feedback on Food Network for recipes they never cooked, unbelievable!
