I don't understand why the reviewer isn't verified as a purchaser before they can proceed with a post......if you didn't buy it and it was a gift, then have the purchaser post instead.
I know they can do this because I tried to write a review and was stopped because I had already written one for the item.

The BB and things like this review open a whole world to human behavior I didn't know existed. I know some of the posts are fantasies but not all.

The best is 2 out of 12 people found the review helpful. I wonder who the 2 people are.

yeah, you sure do not have to purchase to leave a review-they COULD stop that policy if they wished...
And certainly the reason you cannot go back and leave a SECOND review, is that they don't really want to know how an item help up- if you go back for a second review, it is most likely because you have found something else out about the product...and it likely isn't GOOD....

I wondered that too. Maybe they felt sorry for the reviewer getting the unhelpfuls so they did what they could to offset them.

Librarian girl, I feel your pain ! I totally agree with every word you said, and thank you for taking the time to post this and making the plea, hoping it will help, but we never know.
Posting in Viewpoints seems to be the logical place to begin for me as well, and I don't understand you being criticized for that. However, I have heard that very opinionated posters often give other's a hard time here.
I do like the idea of bringing to the attention of QVC in the Suggestion Box thread.
Thank you for your efforts and I hope it does move some reviewers to re-think what they are doing and how it affects those who read the reviews to utilize the information for purchasing decisions.
Have a blessed day everyone.

Other than fashion, just use Google or Amazon for reviews. Bad reviews are also writtens by posters who didn't pay attention to the presentation or didn't read the description of the product. This happens all the time with handbags. Too big, too small, too heavy etc.

A perfect example is Keurig- when people first get them, they are so excited and give them glowing reviews- but after a year or so, or in some cases 6 months, so MANY people have had them die on them- yes Keurig is relatively good about replacing the FIRST one, but this is something people would like to know before they purchase.. We have already been through 3 in about 5 years, and decided no more!
And the Q doesn't WANT people to go back and update their original reviews...
amazon (not sure about google) heck, even YELP! will let you go back and edit or update a review...What is the Q afraid of?

Most of those early reviews are more than likely left by employees or people who were able to actually get the products (like employees) before any of us. Or they are shill reviews, heaven knows QVC wouldn't do that.
Bottom line, it is QVC that allows this to happen, therefore, I feel they are shill reviews by employees of either QVC themselves or the vendor.

I have been seeing an advertizment for www.brand.com it is a company that takes away the bad reveiws and replaces them with good ones, for any company. AUTOMATICALLY, so not, ne will not be able to really see the HONEST reveiws for a company anyway. BUYER BEWARE
