Labor Day: New appreciation for service workers

We got away for a long weekend to LV. As we were leaving yesterday morning we stopped in a major casino for breakfast. As we watched the wait staff doing a great job, we remarked to each other how hard they really worked. We asked our server how long a shift she works. We were shocked when she told us that she has an 8 hour shift. She clocks in at 7am and takes her manditory one hour "break" and then works 7 straight hours without another break.
