I was so amused by the other post about the couple moving to Florida from Colorado and I think last night's was just as ridiculous. This couple had a small budget of $300K and wanted a house by the water. They looked at several and the wife had problems with, of all things, brass fixtures in the bathroom. The husband could not get past the fact that they would have "neighbors" at these houses and started planning how he would plant big bushes to shut them out at the particular houses they were looking at. Then, of course, the all-important factor on whether to buy a house - did it have granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. I just don't get these people and their little quirks. I would die for some of the kitchens they say would immediately need a makeover if they bought it.
