Hilarious video shows grandparents using dating app for the first time to help their grandson get a date

• They were told to 'swipe right' if they liked someone on the app Bumble
• The pair laugh after reading a profile which asks 'Do you like thonggs?'
• After finding a match, the grandfather starts talking to the phone out loud

This is the hilarious moment two grandparents use a dating app for the first time to try and help their grandson get a date.

The video, believed to have been filmed in North America, starts with their grandson, Gianluca, briefly explaining how the app works.

He quickly informs his grandparents to 'swipe right if you like them', and 'left if you don't like them'.

They then pick up his smartphone and start their quest of trying to find him a girlfriend.

His grandfather is decisive when he immediately says 'left' after viewing someone's profile for a matter of seconds on the dating app Bumble.

The couple disagree for a moment before Gianluca's grandfather justifies his decision by saying 'This moron has her hat on backwards.'

The pair then burst into laughter after viewing someone's profile and the grandfather reads out what appears to be on the screen: 'Do you like thonggs?'

His grandmother - after viewing her profile picture with two other women - adds: 'We pick them, three. Here you go, four way.' 

They then pick up his smartphone and start their quest of trying to find their grandson a girlfriend

The grandfather quickly picks up the phone to take a closer look and laughs, prompting his wife to ask: 'You want a five way?'

The pair then continue their mission and swipe right on another woman's profile - and they immediately find him a match and a potential date.

The grandfather announced: 'You connected. You both liked each other.' 

They then decide to start to chat to the woman and the grandfather says out loud - 'hello' - appearing to believe it is a phone call.

His wife bursts out laughing and steps in by asking the phone 'How are you?' but the grandfather puts his foot down by saying: 'Could you let me do my thing here? Come here often? Do you like fish?'
